Project overview

This project was located within the Army Reserve Base Fort Hunter Liggett, CA. This Design Build project consisted of two 5,000 square foot Educational Facilities (EXCON, HICON) and one 7,000 square foot Training/Warehouse (HSTL), all of which were designed and built per UFC guidelines and per the requirements of ARMY personnel. The site work consisted of Civil over exaction, compaction and import of required soil for all three buildings. Site utilities included the tie in of new sewer and domestic facilities. Life safety included a fully looped fire suppression system to ensure no failures. Primary power included the installation of one primary location of metering for all three buildings and secondary’s to each structure. Communications included the installation and tie in of existing communication and telephone to the new structures. The building structures consisted of slab on grade construction with an insulated metal building above. The interiors included metal studs, drywall, T-bar ceilings, lighting, fire suppression system, fire alarm system, class room communications systems and epoxy flooring throughout. These class room environments are fully conditioned spaces designed to withstand the harsh winter and summer conditions of the area.
